Our Story
Panelox is a sister company to Velox UK. We provide a panelised version of the Velox building system, delivering super-fast construction of hugely energy efficient buildings.
Used extensively in Europe since 1956, Velox came to the UK in 2014. The launch of Panelox in late 2022 means that we are in a position to significantly scale up the number of Velox builds in 2023 and beyond.
Panels are created at our newly built facility in Hampshire, transported to site, then craned into position, fixed and then the concrete core is poured. For standard (100 Sq m) two storey homes, the superstructure for 6 homes, can be finished (from foundations to roof plate) in as little as 4 days.
What is Velox?
The principal component of the system is 2m x 0.5m boards constructed from reclaimed woodchip (90% of the volume), cement, providing strength and cohesion to the boards. A patented mineralisation process then stabilises the boards against humidity, mold and rodent damage. Velox boards provide the external and internal wall surfaces, ceiling/floor and roof, between which is sandwiched insulation and a poured concrete core.
Housing, Hotels, Apartment blocks, Schools and Hospitals have all been built using VELOX. The system is very flexible, and scalable, from home extensions to 21 storey buildings!
